Overview

Datagram One is a creator app for captions, photo and video editing, background removal, collages, logos and export. We minimize data collection and separate on-device editing from optional network services.

Photos, videos and local projects

Media you choose is stored and edited locally for preview, composition and export. Photo editing, logo composition, collage editing and supported background removal run on the device. Local project files and exports remain on the device until you delete them or remove the app.

AI caption transcription

Automatic Nova-3 caption transcription is an optional network feature that runs only when you start transcription. Datagram One may extract audio from the selected video and securely stream the audio or media through the official Amir-OS Datagram One proxy to our speech-to-text provider, currently Deepgram, to generate words, timing and confidence information. The Amir-OS proxy streams the request and is designed not to save the uploaded media to local server storage. Datagram One sends Deepgram Speech-to-Text requests with model-improvement opt-out enabled (`mip_opt_out=true`). Deepgram states that opted-out request audio and transcripts are retained only for the duration needed to process the request and are not stored after the response; Deepgram may retain request metadata and usage logs under its service terms. If the network transcription service is unavailable, supported devices may use an Apple speech-recognition fallback.

Background removal

Studio One foreground isolation and logo background removal use Apple Vision/Core Image processing on supported devices. These background-removal operations do not require uploading the selected image to Amir-OS.

On-device creative intelligence

On supported Apple Intelligence devices, Creativity Bank and Logo Director can optionally use Apple’s Foundation Models framework directly on the device. This creative-generation path does not require an external AI API key and is not routed through the Amir-OS AI proxy. If the Apple system model is unavailable, the app uses its deterministic Local Creative Engine instead. Saved Creativity Bank entries are stored in protected local app storage until you delete them or remove the app.

Premium Codes

If you enter an Amir-OS Premium Code, the code is sent over HTTPS to the official Amir-OS validation service. The service validates the code against a server-side cryptographic hash record and checks its active status and expiry. A valid promotional code can return a time-limited Premium entitlement that the app stores in protected device storage. The raw code is not embedded in the application binary and the validation service is designed not to persist the submitted raw code. Standard network and security metadata may be processed for delivery, rate limiting and abuse prevention. Premium Codes are promotional access issued by Amir-OS and are separate from Apple subscriptions and Apple Offer Codes.

Apple purchases and offer codes

Paid Premium subscriptions, coin packs and Apple Offer Codes use Apple In-App Purchase / StoreKit. An Amir-OS Premium Code does not charge the user and does not prevent the user from later purchasing an Apple subscription. Apple processes payment and App Store account information. Datagram One receives the transaction and entitlement information needed to provide purchased functionality and Restore Purchases. The app does not collect your Apple account password or payment card details.

Coins and protected local state

Coin balances, verified transaction identifiers and consumption records may be stored using protected device storage to prevent duplicate credit and support eligible creator features. Coins are consumable digital items and are not cash, deposits or stored monetary value.

Permissions

Camera, microphone, Photo Library and speech-recognition access are requested only for features that need them. You can change permission access in iOS Settings. Choosing not to grant a permission may limit the related feature but does not grant Datagram One unrelated access.

Analytics and advertising

Datagram One does not depend on third-party advertising trackers. If analytics or advertising data collection is added in a future release, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before that collection is enabled.

Retention and deletion

Local projects and exports can be deleted from the app and are removed when the app’s local data is removed. The Amir-OS AI proxy is designed to stream transcription media rather than retain the uploaded media on disk. Datagram Code records maintain campaign status and aggregate use counters; they do not require a Datagram user account. You may contact us to ask questions about server-side records or request deletion of personal data that we control and can associate with you.

International processing

Optional network features may be processed in countries different from your own by infrastructure and service providers. We use HTTPS for app-to-server requests and limit transmitted data to the feature being requested.
